We are excited to be featured in the Chicago Tribune for our new Chai Town cocktail. Here is the article.
Chai Town: When Edgewater brunch spot m.henrietta closed in October, the neighborhood's dining scene took a noticeable hit. But already the void has been filled with the arrival of Revival Social Club, a restaurant and full-service bar serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch that has set up shop in the same storefront. Revival's owners renovated the space, knocking down a few walls to open up the floor plan and opting for rich wood furnishings and warm yellow lighting that yield a certain pastoral charm. The menu offers comfort food with contemporary twists, like the miniature corn dog and queso appetizer, or the Sloppy Jose, a braised short-rib sandwich with spicy tomato broth and poblano mustard. The signature cocktails include well-executed classics, like a Manhattan with house espresso liqueur, but the one to try is the $11 Chai Town (Koval vodka, chai tea, Koval ginger liqueur, honey and nutmeg). Served straight up, its silky consistency and soothing flavor makes it an easy sipper for cold Chicago evenings.1133 W. Granville Ave., 773-293-6435, revivalsocialclub.com
